Congratulations to the 2011 Turner Prize nominees, in particular DLR favourite Hilary Lloyd, who trains her camera on objects till they act like humans under our gaze, and on humans till they feel like objects. Hats off too to Karla Black, who keeps the Glasgow aesthetic of form and minimalism alive and kicking: let a little go far. George Shaw and Martin Boyce, whose 2009 Scotland Pavilion at the Venice Biennale sustained both lightness and feeling within the wandering abstractions of that biennial.
